Description:

Project C.U.R.E. is currently recruiting nurses and other medical professionals (currently practicing or retired) to volunteer their time and skills right here in the Valley to serve our brothers and sisters in need all over the world. Project C.U.R.E. collects donated medical surplus and utilizes teams of volunteers to sort, inventory and package these supplies for shipment overseas. Most of our volunteer teams have no medical background, so nurses who are willing to volunteer their time to lead these teams can make a significant contribution to this organization. One nurse who volunteers with Project C.U.R.E. describes her service in this way: "I volunteered at a free medical clinic, but that was too much like my day job. Other places I've volunteered, it doesn't even matter that I'm a nurse. Project C.U.R.E. brings me the best of both worlds." Volunteer groups are 2 - 3 hours in length and are scheduled weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. We ask each Sorting Team Leader to choose 2 - 4 groups a month to lead. For more information about this volunteer position, please contact Tara Nichols at 480.237.0970 or via email at taranichols@projectcure.org.
